All Classes- We just finished up a test on Organic Molecules. We began discussion about Stages of Nutrition and started our Digestive System projects.
We have been placed in groups and have finished coloring and cutting our organs and have pasted them on brown poster. We did this in class. The remaining will be done at home. See details below:
PROJECT- Due Friday
Refer to On-line Bio Book pg 915 Chapter 32 for
6 Main Organs: Mouth, Pharynx (we will not label this one as it is hidden on model), Esophagus (also known as the food tube), Stomach, Small Intestine and Large Intestine (also referred to as the colon) (FOOD PASSES THROUGH THESE ORGANS IN ONE WAY)
4 Accessory Organs: Salivary Glands, Pancreas, Liver and Gallbladder (FOOD DOES NOT PASS THROUGH THESE ORGANS but will create enzymes etc)
RUBRIC:
Colorful- Be sure to color all organs different colors of your choosing 10pts
9 organs (minus pharynx) cut out and pasted 20 pts
List 3 facts for each flash cards 50pts
4 Stages of Nutrition definition: Ingestion, Digestion, Absorption and Elimination 20pts
